Port Stephens

This trip was from a while ago, in June this year when we went away for a long weekend at Port Stephens. And of course, the whale watching season had just started then too!

We stayed at Oaks Pacific Blue Resort there and boy, it was a real pretty place! We booked it through wotif for a 2 night stay and definitely did not regret our decision. The place was huge and I love the pool that goes in a circle so that everyone on the ground floor has direct access to the pool. It would be great for young children. And not to mention the large balconies and rest area right next to the pool. Perfect for sunbathing in the summer!

The rooms were clean and comfortable. No complaints there!

We didn't make any reservations for dinner for the day that we arrived, and the whole town was so packed that we couldn't get into anywhere for dinner so we ended up eating at a franchise steak house (not my ideal place) - but oh well, at least we were fed.

*And without any delay, made reservations for lunch and dinner for the next day!*

We managed to make reservations at The Point (I think), which was voted as the best restaurant in town and the food was definitely above average! Really enjoyed our lunches - which we could have had more, but given that we were going on the boat after lunch, overeating was definitely not recommended.

And now, on our way to our main objective!

 Our boat!
*was so happy to see the size of the boat*

We had a pretty good outcome from our trip, saw quite a few whales and one was 'breaching'. I loved it, loved it, LOVED it!!

 Hello there!

 Love the skies

After that, we went back to the hotel for a quick nap before going to the next town for some good seafood dinner. The place was absolutely packed!

Our multiple entrees... :)

Our multi-level seafood platter!
 Oh yumssss

We woke up just in time to check out and went food hunting again and found this packed breakfast joint that had people in queues outside. We did try walking around to the other places, but nothing seem as nice as this one, so we gladly joined the queue and did not regret it one bit! Can't remember it's name though... its been too long :( .

 Large selection of pastries

 The awesome breakfast!
