Krabi 2

Because I can barely remember what we did in Krabi, I am just going to let the pictures do the talking. *This is exactly why I started this blog - to remind me of how I feel about every single trip I've taken, how I felt and what we did. What crazy or not thing that happen, what we laughed about, what we argued about, what made us had such a good time. The little things that we seem to forget, the little things that made the trip worthwhile.*

Breakfast @ hotel

We went out pretty much immediately after having our breakfast as we had made bookings for island hopping. How can one not go island hopping in Krabi?!?! It's where the famous Phi Phi Islands are :)!

We actually made reservations through our hotel for a fair price. Actually, we were quoted quite significantly more by another party, and we decided to take a look ourselves when we were out the day before and had rates that was within what I was told by friends who have been to Krabi. When we returned to the hotel and asked for the receptionist to help us make a booking (as we cant speak Thai), she told us that she can make booking for another tour company for the same price!! (The one we wanted to ring did have a dodgy hut near the beach). I'm glad we had them help us out :).

I have to say, the reception girls @ our hotel are fantastic! They do help us very much with everything and are extremely accommodating. A friendly smile at every request as well! While the resort might not be a 5* resort, the service was way above that.

Below are pictures from the day's island hopping:

Such clear waters... *grin*

The boats will drop it's guests on Maya Bay, and it would be up to us to walk to Lo Sa Ma Bay, which is kind of on the other side of the island. Not that many will walk there, given the heat and the hard walk. Most of us were barefooted, and there were sharp rocks and stones on the way. And frankly, I was a little disappointed it in. But it definitely offers you another view of the ocean. So, although I was disappointed, I would still recommend it to anyone who's going to be there. After all, you're already there.

The gorgeous waters :)

Snorkelling time! *see the little fishes??*

Soon, it was time to head back. The island hopping took all day, starting at 9 I think. For THB 1800 ppax, it was inclusive of lunch and tea, hotel transfers, insurance, and equipments - we thought it was pretty reasonable.

We managed to get off at Railay Beach instead of Aonang, as it so happened that there were a couple on the same 'trip' stayed in Railay. So we took the opportunity and got off there for the sunset. Saved us a boat trip from Aonang to Railay! :)

And we went kayaking again :D. Couldn't persuade TS to come along, but it was still pretty fun - so long ST doesn't stop kayaking :P. It was such a funny time, one of the happiest times (coupled with some funny anger swearing from some people).

We left just before if got dark, so not to pay the extra for the boat ride. Which was cool - coz we managed to see the sunset while we were on the boat. Perfect timing :).

Home time...

It was time for dinner, and another massage for the day :). Plus DVDs after. Iron Man is a pretty damn good show indeed.
