Krabi 3

We had a lazy day the next day, as we didn't plan anything beforehand. We woke up late for breakfast, having had to give it a miss in the end and settled for an ala carte brunch.

Tried to make plans to visit James Bond Island and caving, but it was too late. So we decide to head to the Pado Island as recommended by our hotel for a lazy day by the beach.

We decided to walk to the town instead of taking the usual tuk tuk, to see the streets during the day, instead of the night as how we did the previous days. There was plenty of food stalls in the place, so we went food tasting :D.

Chicken fillets

Coconut something - it was pretty yum :)

Took random photos while we were walking, cracking stupid jokes. Took photos with the lame heart shaped board that was there in conjuction with Valentine's Day, with funny and silly poses.

We tried negotiating for the price of the boat ride, but couldn't get it for any lesser. But one of the guys managed to convince the boatman himself, to take us to two different locations for slightly more, instead of the advertised cost. At the same, we got the snorkelling gears included for free. Of course, he also checked the boat out before agreeing to the deal. The power of bargaining :).

Another day out at sea :)

We negotiated to head towards Pado Island for the day, and possibly snorkeling nearby +/- another island stop. Pado was our first stop of the day.

Pado Island

White fine sands, blue skies, clear waters. What more could we ask for? Definitely my favourite beach in the area, even more than Maya Beach itself. I felt the latter a little too commercialized and crowded, which is understandable. After all, it was made famous by the movie.

They came out to play too :)

We spent the rest of the afternoon goofing around, playing with the sand and water. Lying under the sun, with the cool sea breeze. I felt a little sad as we were leaving, wondering when will I return to somewhere with such a beautiful beach again :(.

I love this shot :)

It was too late to head to another island by the time we left Pado, so our boatman decided to take us to a nearby area for some snorkelling. While the area isn't as big as where we were yesterday, it was not crowded. We were the only people there :). Marvelous!

Look! Fishesssss :D

I only have one regret in this trip, and that was not going scuba diving. But that again, when I sit and weight out the pros and cons, I would have rather spent the time with my friends :). So I guess, that a passable regret :P.

We made plans to head towards Krabi town for the night, as we've stayed only around Aonang since we've been there. We hired a tuk-tuk/van to take us there, which waited for us to take us back after. There's a night market in Krabi when we were there, which was recommended to us. Plenty of food, but also a variety of other things.

*We all know what happened here. LOL*

We finally decided on having dinner on the main street instead of the market, after semi-stuffing ourselves with snacks.

Dinner time! :)

We were a little hesitant of having dinner here, as cleanliness was obviously not on the top priority, but since it was our last day there we decided that we could afford to take the risk. After all, symptoms usually don't display itself within the first 12 hours. Dinner was pretty good I have to say, we had some sort of beef noodles I think.

We decided to be dropped back off in Aonang instead of the hotel so that we could get some souvenirs, and massage on our last day there. For all the days that we were there, there was never a day without massage, a meal without coconut juice *okay, breakfast not included*.

It was past midnight by the time we finished up at Aonang, and some of us were starving. Decided to have supper and went to one of the restaurants on our way home, but it served only Indian cuisine which wasn't what we were looking for. So we went back to the hotel, hoping that the bar would still be open. Closed, it was. But we managed to get one of the staffs to ferry one of us back into town to get take away fast food for a small fee. *grin*

Soon enough, as how all holiday goes, it has to end. A short 4 days in paradise :(.

Breakfast table

A wonderful holiday, in a perfect location, in great company. There was 5 bipolar sufferers that day. Happified from the holiday, and upset that we're leaving. But we shall have another one of these. I hope.
